I really, really hope that image of the body builder was photoshopped.

That skeletal biker is fucking great by nebbish (2.00 / 0) #3 Tue May 15, 2007 at 06:09:35 AM EST
Shows the difference in cultures I think - over here it'd probably just get laughed at (maybe not though. If I was alone, and especially if it started shouting in Portugeuse, I'd probably leg it as well).

Would be even scarier without the stabilizers/training wheels though...

Would completely give it away.

Do they have any Day of the Dead-ish traditions in Brazil like in Mexico? Probably not, but it would explain people's terror.

Faces most important by ambrosen (2.00 / 0) #4 Tue May 15, 2007 at 06:11:33 AM EST
Which is all the better, because except for an unlucky few, it's easy and subconscious to change aspects of its appearance according to how well they get on with the person they're talking to.

I think, as someone whose body has become a huge amount more robust over the past couple of years, that body image is more for self confidence about it always working for you and doing what you want it to.

There are limits and variations of course, but it's not that hard for most people to slim down/bulk up. There's not much you can do about your face at all.

There's plenty that can be done. by ambrosen (2.00 / 0) #8 Tue May 15, 2007 at 07:08:32 AM EST
It's all made of muscles, and a lot of it's subconscious. Almost anyone's face is objectively pleasant, as long as they're looking at a loved one. All this IMHO, of course.

All it takes is smiling to improve a few points in attractiveness.

greg valentino kinda made that "synthol" famous after one of his "muscles" blew up and he got arrested. just goes to show how lame pro bodybuilding is anyway.
